First Post!!!

Oh boy do I have a lot to say! First things first though...


First, I'd like to welcome you to my blog. I have a blog on my website, but I've never really bothered updating it. Oh, I started with the best of intentions  but I'm extremely busy (also lazy) and since I have to jump through flaming hoops to update that blog...well...there's one post to it. 


So welcome to my little corner of the web that I will update. Promise! If it becomes problematic, I'll update that too. I suspect that this will be much easier to maintain though. 


What can you expect here? Hmm. I will discuss some work issues, however I will guard my clients' anonymity. This means that names may be changed, situations slightly tweaked. There won't be any way for anyone to know who they are. I have strong opinions about the society we live in, and cultural attitudes towards sex...but that's another post. I wish there were no consequences for one's personal activities (which harm no one!) but alas...the real and wonderful world we live in is otherwise at the moment.


Which is why I also must protect my identity. I don't even like to think about the personal and professional consequences I could face. 


So all that aside, work stuffs which will interest, titillate and delight! It will also be a place for me to 'dump' as it were, a place to let my hair down a bit and decompress about work. A place for me to express clinical and personal opinions. 


My place. Got it? ;)


As such, I'll also discuss many other things which interest me. Some of them will probably not interest you. Stick around for the stuff that does, and perhaps some of what I say will broaden your world. I could ask nothing better. 


Money. Oh, one of my least favorite subjects. I cannot tell you how much I dislike dealing with it. It's one of the reasons I really enjoy billing platforms (such as NiteFlirt). It completely removes the need for me to do my own billing, or discuss anything as crass as renumeration with my clients. When I have had to bring up the uncomfortable issue, it feels much like having a wonderful dinner party...then presenting a bill to my friends. Awkward. 


I bring it up here and now for a couple of reasons. First...this is my living. I have to keep that in mind, even as I'm sure at times I will not. I have a wide variety of clients whom I like and love. Political opinions will vary widely, and there's no surer way to lose a friend than to argue politics. Since I do not enjoy having all like minded friends (or clients) there will be times where I must hold my tongue, or avoid some topics. I may even choose to remove posts for this reason...though I hope it never comes to that. I won't (I can't!) ever present an opinion I don't truly hold simply to please...but I may need to remain silent at times.


Religion is another area. I am an atheist and frankly I don't think much of religion. That being said, most of my friends (and clients) are religious people. I do not respect their 'religion' but I do greatly respect them. The person I loved the most in the world was a person of deep religious faith, as such when I think or say perhaps that religion is 'dumb' I'm certainly not saying the people I adore are 'dumb'. Again, religion and politics are a great way to lose friends...I may [mostly] avoid the topic.


Sex? Oh yes let's talk about sex! There will be lots of that, and I will attempt to be clear when I am speaking as an expert, and when I am expressing my opinion. 


Hypnosis? Oh yes, there will be lots on that! Again, I will strive to be clear when I am speaking as an expert, when we're discussing facts, and when I am expressing opinion. 


Other topics? I have a broad range of interests. I'm a geek, a gamer, a foodie, a book lover, and lots more.
